SB 709 (Menjivar D) Self-service storage facilities: rental agreements.

Summary: Existing law, the California Self-Service Storage Facility Act, establishes procedures
governing the operation of self-service storage facilities, including specifying remedies for facility
owners when occupants are delinquent in paying rent or other charges. This bill would require each
rental agreement pursuant to the act to limit rental increases to no more frequently than once every 3
months and to an amount not to exceed ____% per calendar year.
